Lieutenant Colonel Donlon is an infantry officer currently assigned to the Commandant of the Marine Corps Strategist Program, pursuing a PhD in history at Texas A&M University. He has led Marines and sailors at the platoon, company, and battalion levels, both in combat and garrison, including recently commanding 3d Battalion, 2d Marines. He is a planner with experience working on war plans related to the western Pacific where he learned the value of plans that are logistically sound.
