Lieutenant Carlos R. Rosende, U.S. Navy, is an active-duty surface warfare officer and recently completed two tours on board a destroyer stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. A 2012 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, his writing has appeared in Naval History, Proceedings, and the Naval War College Review.
