Ms. Wright retired as the Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence and Director of the Naval Intelligence Activity in December 2019, following 35 years of service in the Intelligence Community. She is an independent national security consultant, a senior fellow with the Center for Naval Analyses, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Penn State Applied Research Laboratory.
