Commander Sweigart, a 2004 graduate of the Coast Guard Academy, is a shore operations specialist who currently serves as the branch chief of the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Branch at the Coast Guard Research and Development Center. He holds a PhD in operations research from the College of William & Mary.
