Mr. Sheehy is a 2008 U.S. Naval Academy graduate and a former Navy SEAL officer. He was discharged after being wounded in combat and subsequently founded Bridger Aerospace, the largest aerial firefighting company in the nation and the largest private owner/operator of large seaplanes in the world. His recently released book, Mudslingers: A True Story of Aerial Firefighting (Permuted Press, 2023), is about the history of aerial firefighting in the United States.
